What is TwitchCon?
Just in case you are not familiar with the term but would be interested to know more about it, TwitchCon is an annual convention dedicated to the live streaming platform Twitch.tv. Organized by Twitch Interactive, this convention is devoted to the video game streaming culture and serves as a bridge between streamers and their viewers. Event attendees get to play new games on high-end gaming hardware, interact with their peers in the gaming community, and if lucky enough, they can even meet face-to-face with their favorite streamer. As for streamers, this event provides them with an opportunity to learn more about streaming as well as grow their brands.
Venue and Date
The first TwitchCon took place in September, 2015. The convention grew substantially over the course of four years, as more events were included to it and attracted celebrities outside of the gaming industry to attend them. The convention is returning for it’s fifth consecutive year and will take place from September 27 to 29, 2019 over the course of three days. It will take place at the San Diego Convention Centre, U.S.A; which marks it’s second iteration at the venue, the first one being held during TwitchCon 2016.
