Twitch Rivals: Dota 2 Auto Chess Showdown is scheduled to take place tonight at 10:30 PM. It will feature 32 invited streamers including big names like AdmiralBulldog, JakenBakeLive, Disguised Toast and Forsen.
Unfortunately, the tournament is being hosted exclusively for the invited Twitch streamers, hence not everybody can participate.
Twitch Rivals is an exclusive esports series, designed for the growth of streamers and their communities. It is an initiative of Twitch’s Esports team and commonly hosts events with big cash prizes, such as the PUBG Duos tournament that they hosted in December, which featured a prize pool of $160,000.
Twitch Rivals: Dota 2 Auto Chess Showdown has a total prizepool of $12,500. However, the tournament is being hosted for North America and Europe regions separately, hence the prize-pool is split into $6250 for each of the regions.
Each region’s competition will consist of 2 simultaneous 8-player free-for-all game lobbies. Players will receive prizing based on placement in each game lobby.
Here’s the tournament format:
- Sixteen (16) players per Region (EU & NA)
- Players will play in 4x free-for-all game lobbies
- Top 4 from each lobby will face off in new lobby
- Bottom 4 from each lobby will face off in new lobby
