The Twitch Creator Camp aims to educate up and coming streamers regarding streaming and its nuances.
Twitch is the biggest streaming service in the world. It has made celebrities out of gamers (Ninja, Shroud, DrDisrespect) and turned celebrities into gamers (Marshmello, Deadmau5, Post Malone). But not everyone who streams on Twitch has got success or attention. This can be attributed to lack of awareness on how to build up a channel, or lack of content in general. And Twitch is addressing this problem with the Twitch Creator Camp.
The Twitch Creator Camp aims to educate and help up and coming streamers and show them the ropes. And all this will be done with the help of Twitch partnered streamers. In a blog post, Jessica Messinger Creator Growth Marketing at Twitch said,
“Whether you’re getting ready to stream for the first time or want to try a new strategy on an already successful channel, Twitch Creator Camp has something for you. And who better to teach you everything you’ve ever wanted to know about Twitch than the Partners who have achieved greatness themselves? So we’ve asked some successful Partners to share tips and advice for whatever step of your streaming journey you’re on. Creator Camp will also host live sessions with Partners to go even deeper into the topics that matter most to you. You’ll even be able to ask questions live.”
At launch, the website has content for basic streaming practices, build your brand on social media, leverage stats about your stream, and make the most of emotes, badges, and extensions. Other than that, Twitch Creator Camp will also cover the networking aspect of streaming and how to connect with your audience. It will also give you tips from popular streamers on how to optimize subs, merch, ads, and sponsorships to help you make a living sharing what you love.
The Twitch Creator Camp is open today, and the live streams will start next month.
