True Sight: The International 2018 Review

True Sight: The International 2018 Finals premiered in the Nordisk Film Cinema Palads in Copenhagen, Denmark, and it was live-streamed on Twitch. OG was invited to the premiere and a few lucky individuals who attended the event got the opportunity asking questions pertained to the Grand Finals of TI8 with the champions themselves. Unfortunately, Anathan “ana” Pham couldn’t make it to the event, and only Johan “N0tail” Sundstein, Topias “Topson” Taavitsainen, Sébastien “Ceb” Debs and Jesse “JerAx” Vainikka were present at the premiere. This episode of True Sight is possibly the best one yet because The International 8 is widely regarded as the best Dota 2 tournament we’ve ever had. Getting to relive the tournament through behind the scenes footage is nothing less than a blessing for the community. Huge shout-out to Valve for putting so much effort into making these incredible documentaries for us.

This episode had possibly everything any Dota fan could ever expect. Excellent pacing, clear-cut audio, live-audience reactions, brilliant editing, and most important of all – a perfect showcase of what OG went through to become the TI8 Champions and their feeling of euphoria after managing to achieve what many believed was impossible for them. We also get to feel the heartbreak, sorrow and shock that PSG.LGD and their fans experienced, as the Aegis of Champions was snatched away from them after all the effort they put through to reach the Grand Finals of TI8. Valve also made some incredible SFM clips to showcase the most important moments in the games, like Ceb’s game-winning Berserker’s Call and ana’s clutch plays with Ember Spirit.

Watching OG fulfill their dreams from the perspective of the players themselves, was extremely insightful and also a very emotional ride. I highly recommend you to go watch it if you haven’t already, regardless of whether you play Dota or not.
