We finally got the trailer of the much-awaited True Sight: The International 2018, which is going to feature what went on behind the scenes during the TI8 Finals where OG miraculously beat PSG.LGD and became the champions. It will premiere on January 15, 2019.
True Sight is a series of documentaries about the stories of the professional players who work their hearts out and make Dota as big as it is currently. They are produced by the game’s developer, Valve Corporation after major tournaments.
This time, True Sight will have a cinematic premiere in the Nordisk Film Cinema Palads in Copenhagen, Denmark. The premiere will be broadcasted at 8:00pm CEST, followed by a Q&A session with attendees and the players of OG. Anathan “ana” Pham, OG’s Mid Laner for TI8 is currently taking a break from Dota, but hopefully he will also make an appearance.
Tickets to the live premiere in Copenhagen will be available starting on December 25. More information on the online broadcast will be coming soon.
Almost no one predicted OG’s victory at TI8. The team was in shambles when Tal “Fly” Aizik and Gustav “s4” Magnusson left OG to join Evil Geniuses. OG had to bring in ana and Topias “Topson” Taavitsainen who was a pub-star at the time and had almost no competitive experience. OG wasn’t even invited to the TI8 qualifiers and they had to go through the open qualifiers to make it to the EU qualifier. They breezed through the EU qualifier and made it to TI8.
OG was considered by many as one of the weakest teams at TI8. They proved everyone wrong as they made it to the Upper Bracket after the Group Stages and they never dropped to the Lower Bracket in the entire tournament. They beat PSG.LGD in the Upper Bracket Finals and faced them again in the Grand Finals. After Game 3, OG were down 2-1 and made a miraculous comeback to claim the Aegis of Champions. This True Sight is going to be incredible as TI8 was the best International we’ve had among all of them, even TI3. Watching OG’s Cinderella Story from behind the scenes is going to be an exhilarating experience.
