Since the launch of Forza Horizon 4, a series of updates have introduced lots of new content to the game. In the latest update, Microsoft and Playground Games’ Forza Horizon 4 gets a crossover with Top Gear, the popular BBC auto series. Given Forza’s history of collaboration with Top Gear in its various iterations, it is not surprising that Forza Horizon 4, which is set in the UK would feature the current hosts of the show.
The new Top Gear Horizon story has seven new chapters based on the format of the TV show. The new content is narrated by one of the long-running motoring show’s current hosts, Chris Harris. The actual race content will let you drive a 1999 Lotus Elise, Austin Taxi, the Top Gear modified Mercedes Benz E-AT, a 65 Mini Cooper, Porsche 911 GT2 RS, G65 6×6 AMG, and the Track-tor.
Each chapter offers a new challenge and completing them all unlocks three new cars: the 2014 Mercedes-Benz G 63 AMG 6×6, the 2017 Mercedes-Benz E 350 D 4Matic All-Terrain “Project E-AT”, and the 2018 Top Gear Track-tor. The players will also get an “I am The Stig” t-shirt and The Stig race suit for their in-game avatars.
The update 11 also brings some changes to the Auction House prices and adds class-based rivals, a new Horizon Life timeline that allows viewing players’ progress and rewards that have not been unlocked yet, cross-platform fixes, and more. You can find a full list of updates in the patch notes on the Forza Support website. The Top Gear crossover event is now live in Forza Horizon 4 for Xbox One and PC and it is free for everyone.
