The EU and CIS region is always the most looked out for in every roster shuffle season. With big Dota teams like OG, Liquid and Secret and also the teams with big fan base like Navi and Alliance. Although this time, after a very long while, the CIS and EU regions are looking very strong. Especially the CIS region. Not many new players have entered the scene, but some teams seem to have reshuffled players amongst the region and come with teams that can all potentially be top tier. In this list, we have included every team which can be called a top tier EU Dota team.
Team Kaipi
Team Kaipi has now been a moderate tier 2 Dota team for quite a while now. Infact for the better part of this year, they haven’t played that many top tournaments and part of the reason is due to not having a proper 5 man team. And this season they seemed to have figured out the best 5 for them.
Kaipi can be one of the dark horses in any tier 1 tournament and they have the talent and experience to upset a big team. The new Kaipi team is Bone 7 playing at position 1,Sinsing playing position 2,The Coon playing position 3,SexyBamboe playing position 4,Fluff playing position 5.
Alliance
Well, the dream team decided to call it quits the second time now as Loda and EGM are the only 2 remaining members. S4 is playing for OG, and Akke and Admiral Bulldog seems to gave taken a break from the competitive dota for an indefinite time.
The new dota squad of Alliance will have a former NIP player Jonassomfan, former complexity players Handsken and Limmp joining Akke and Loda. Loda will still be the captain and position 1 of the team, Limmp will play Midlane, Jonassomfan will play Offlane, Handsken will play position 4 and EGM will be the position 5 support.
Virtus Pro.
This Russian side has had its share of Roster changes, But never a team as scary as they have now. The former VP team was completely scraped off as they formed a new team called Friends and a new team was built.
This new team consists of the 17 year old and recently 9k player Ramzes666. Ramzes666 will be playing position 1 for team. Midlane will be taken by the former Vega Squadron wonderkid No[o]ne. 9pasha will be playing the offlane, and lil and solo will be the support duo. This is probably the best VP team so far since the dawn of VP. Lets hope they live up to the hype.
Team Empire
Team Empire is one of the premier teams in Russia and the CIS across all eSport titles. The organisation was established in 2004 with headquarters in Moscow, Russia.
Just like VP, team empire has experimented with the squad more than a few sides and never found much success. And it seems like after their solid team in TI4, for the first time they have a pretty presentable team. The support duo of King R and Miposhka are the only 2 players from the former Empire Squad. Along with them, Alohadance returns to the team as a position 1 carry. VP’s excellent midlaner G will join them. Ghostik will also debut for Empire as an offlaner.
Vega Squadron
Vega Squadron is one of the very few teams that didn’t change its roster after TI5, despite losing as early as the wildcard bracket to the eventual runner up, CDEC.
Vega announced their new team in a pretty hype fashion, with all 5 players making their debut for Vega team.
The former PR player FN will claim the position 1, Iceberg will be playing midlane, offlane will be played by Mag who was in the before mentioned all time high Empire team,FNG will be captain and the position 4 support and Cema will be the position 5 player.
Natus Vincere
Natus Vincere will remain unchanged this fall. The Ukrainian Dota team has decided to give their current roster another go as they have not made any changes in this fall shuffle period.
Despite a very uneventful TI6 for the boys in yellow, they have not decided to part ways. This may not be a big surprise because Navi had a good run pre-TI which includes winning I-league 2. Lets hope Navi has more tricks up their sleeve because it will be easier for other teams to figure a team out which has not changed for a year.
Team Secret
Its no secret that this Dota team has made the list (pun intended). If not for anything else, Team Secret is known for its constant team reconstruction. This shuffle is no exception.
This time team secret decided to go SEA for its Carry players. The 3 cores of this EU organisation are SEA players. Former MVP.Ph player MP will be playing the core position 1 role, the former Fnatic talent Midone will be the position 2 and the last SEA player will be the MVP.Ph’s former offlaner Forev. The support duo of Puppey and Pie will remain constant though.
Team OG
Team OG was probably the favourites to win this year’s international. There were very few people who had predicted otherwise. However, they underperformed after the group stages and got kicked to lower bracket by MVP.Ph, from there they got kicked out by the underdogs TNC pro. So the squad decided to call it quits, despite the team having a phenomenal run pre-ti and also creating history by winning 2 majors.
The new OG will be without Miracle,Moon and Crit. Notail will still play position 1 carry. ana will replace miracle for the midlane, S4 will play offlane and the amazing former liquid player Jerax will play position 4 with Fly remaining in position 5.
Team Liquid
This is a dota team that probably will have most eyes on. The former team of Fata, Matu, MC, Jerax and Kuro decided to disband after a bad run at TI. They got kicked to lower bracket from where they exited the tournament after clearing only the Navi hurdle.
The new Liquid team looks pretty strong on paper. With the extremely talented Matumbaman on the carry position and Miracle midlane, this team will be a treat to watch. Mind control will continue to play position 3 for this team and Kuroky, the captain will play postion 4 and the new addition Bulba will play the position 5.
