PSG.LGD, previously known as LGD Gaming is a Chinese Esports Organization, founded in 2009. LGD competes in Dota 2 and League of Legends. The Dota team of LGD, entered a partnership with French football club Paris Saint-Germain on April 19th 2018, rebranding themselves as PSG.LGD.

LGD has always been one of the best Chinese Dota 2 teams since TI 2. But after their 4th place finish in TI 7, they had a really rough start this season. They got eliminated in the qualifiers for two Majors and got last place in The Summit 8 minor, with an appalling 0-6 Win-Loss record in the group stages.
Entry of xNova and Chalice into LGD
Just a little before the January transfer period of China, LGD knew that they had to make some changes as it was clear that their roster was not working out. They decided to bid farewell to their two supports at the time – Victoria and Yao. They brought in Chalice and xNova to replace them. The other big change here was that fy went back to being the position 4 player for the team. Previously he was playing position 3. Everyone knows fy to be one of the best Chinese position 4 players, and his potential was clearly being wasted in the offlane. Chalice was the new offlaner for the team.
As soon as they made this change, the team started shining. They got second place in both – Starladder Season 4 Minor and DAC 2018 Major. In April, they got rebranded as PSG.LGD and soon after, they won the EPICENTER XL Major and MDL Changsha Major.
PSG.LGD look really strong right now. They have a strong team with star players Ame and Somnus, consistent players xNova and Chalice, and a young captain in fy. Moreover, as per the TI tradition, this year the aegis is going to be claimed by a Chinese team and PSG.LGD is definitely the prime candidate to fulfill this tradition.
