PUBG Mobile is now banned in China. It comes quite as a shock as we hear the news but this is the truth. However, behind this movement, Tencent has some other plans. They are bringing an alternative to PUBG Mobile to cope up with the Government rules.
It is surprising to hear that PUBG Mobile is now banned in China. But, the reason? Failing to secure a license from the Government for collecting enough revenues from PUBG Mobile, after the new video game rule applied last month.
Even though the global spending of PUBG Mobile is increasing day by day, Tencent could not keep with the Chinese environment. So, they are forced to shut the game and bring almost a same game, naming it as “Peace Elite” or “Game of Peace” (The English name may be different based on the translation made directly from the weibo post)
As a game, “Peace Elite” looks almost similar to the PUBG Mobile game. It has the same battle royale style and other features. But the difference is, Tencent is hoping to earn a fair share of the revenue from China this time.
