The rocket in Fortnite might get launched, and according to Epic it will take place only once.
Fortnite is now known for pulling of big spectacles, like the comet that hit Dusty Depot. The build up to this had a lot of fans wondering and theorising. It all started when the comet first appeared in skies of Fortnite. And now, something quite like this is happening again.
There have been skulls appearing all over the TVs in Fortnite. The skull quite resembles the shape of the “supervillain lair”, which houses a nuke, or a rocket. A hologram near the rocket shows a countdown. Many forums suggest that season 5 will be based on a nuclear theme, which will be based on movies of 50s and 60s.
Which brings us to the in game update feed. The update feed told the players to tune into Fortnite and look at the sky at 10:30 am PT (1:30 pm ET / 7:30 pm CET) on Saturday. The update also informed that this would only happen once. That means it will happen at 11pm IST on Saturday, today.
Given all the theories and speculations, it is safe to assume that the rocket will be launched, and there will be some changes on the map. So log in tonight and witness the spectacle.
