For the past few months, there has been some ongoing tension between rapper DeAndre “Soulja Boy Tell ‘Em” Cortez Way and Nintendo. Nintendo threatened to sue Soulja boy when he released his knock-off consoles. Though recently, the rapper released a new single “Zelda”, with the main theme from The Legend of Zelda in the background.
The fans, however, bashed the song completely, mostly saying that Soulja boy probably has no idea who Zelda is and probably thinks that it is Link who is Zelda. The replies on the release tweet of the single will definitely show you what we mean.
One person questioned if Soulja boy might get sued for using the main theme from a Nintendo game.
As far as I can tell, it's not changed at all. It's literally just playing as background and I think anyone would be hard pressed to prove it falls under 'parody' somehow… even if the one using it is a joke.

Some fans even trolled the rapper,
I’m just here to watch a stupid guy get punished for acting stupid and desperate. Like really desperate. Remember that console that was out for like 3 days and looked like a Leapfrog ripoff?
Im gonna pirate this, just to delete it.
Though one guy managed to pack it all in one tweet,
So you bag on Nintendo, selling illegal copies of their games, saying you made the wonderful person that Reggie is quit, and now this? Trying to score brownie points with Nintendo fans? It’s not even good. Finger on the trigger? The “great” draco couldn’t rhyme with rupee smh.
The song doesn’t even have anything to do with Zelda or the series. He’s just using the theme to rap (if you can even call it rap) about his money and the girls he has.
Soulja boy has shown to have a knack to be in controversies recently. This feud between Nintendo and the rapper has been on for some time now and doesn’t seem to be over anytime soon. But it will be interesting to see if Nintendo takes some legal action on this.
