PUBG Update 18 – New Vehicle, New Weapon and a new deadmau5 Crate

The new PUBG Update is here and it brings some exciting new things. We’ve got a new pickup truck vehicle and a DMR Weapon both exclusive to the tropical mini royale styled Sanhok map. There’s also a limited edition Deadmau5 Crate available for only Twitch Prime subscribers for just one day. Here are the details!

The Deadmau5 Crate

In celebration of Amazon Prime Day, PUBG Corp has partnered with Twitch to offer Twitch Prime subscribers a limited edition PUBG Crate, called the Deadmau5 Crate. Twitch Prime isn’t available in India and many other countries yet, making it impossible to get this crate for many players. There are workarounds for this but I’m very sure they don’t agree with Twitch’s Policies. This promotion is valid from July 16th 12:00PM PT to July 18th 9:00 PT.

The crate contains 7 Deadmau5 themed player customization items –

7. The Mau5 Hat

Only Twitch Prime members can get this exclusive crate.

New Sanhok Exclusive Weapon – The QBU

The QBU is exclusive to the Mini Royale based Sanhok map. It belongs to the DMR Category, like the Mini 14, SKS and Mk14 weapons. It uses 5.56mm ammo, holds up to 10 rounds in its standard magazine (expandable to 20 rounds with the extended magazine).

The main difference between the QBU and other DMRs is the lower damage, which is compensated by its very high muzzle velocity. This means that upon firing the QBU, the bullets reach the designated target way faster than other DMRs. It also has tremendously low recoil if you’ve equipped it with the exclusive bipod attachment and fire it in the prone position.

The Mini14 will no longer be available in the Sanhok map as the QBU replaces it. Here is the official video by PUBG on YouTube describing the weapon stats, attachments and showing it off in-game.

New Sanhok Exclusive Vehicle – Rony

The new PUBG Update also brings a new vehicle exclusive to the Sanhok map called Rony. Rony is a pickup truck specialising at moving through hilly areas in Sanhok. Like many other 4-wheeler vehicles, it can have up to 4 people seated, but 2 people would sit outside the truck.

Other updates – New Custom Match UI, Bug Fixes, Custom Match Open Beta

Some other things included in this new PUBG Update are bug fixes, a new custom match UI and roll out of the Open Beta for Custom Matches to Test Servers. PUBG Corp has now started the Open Beta for Custom Matches in the Test Servers. They’ve included a new custom match UI that looks like this –
