PUBG Mobile India Series 2019: All you need to know

The PUBG Mobile India Series will have a prize pool of a Rs 1 Crore.

PUBG Mobile is one of the top games in the Indian Gaming Community. After taking over most of the gaming community in India by landslide, Tencent has announced a great oppurtunity for mobile gamers to try their luck in esports. PUBG Mobile India Series 2019 is going to be the second official PUBG Mobile tournament in India(after the ‘Campus Championship’ from 2018.)

The ₹1 Crore Prize Pool in the entire tournament is sure to bring out a large number of players from all over the country. There are amazing cash prizes along with Oppo phone giveaways. Unlike the last tournament, which was only limited to college students, this one is open to all with zero registration fees. Although, you have to be at least a level 20 player in order to register. Registrations are already underway and the last day for registration is 23rd January.

Here is everything you need to know if you are interested in participating in PUBG Mobile India Series 2019.

Players need to go to the official registration website in order to enter the tournament. You’ll need to sign up and fill out the form. Once you are done, you can either join a squad by entering the squad ID or create your own. You can add players to your squad by sharing the invite link. The tournament is to have two qualifiers followed by the Grand Finale. The games will take place in the Asia server in TPP mode only.

First Qualifier Round

The first qualifier round will be an online in-game type. It will take place from the dates 21 January to 27 January. All the registered players will play 15 Classic matches in Erangel with their whole squad. Best 10 out of 15 rounds will be considered for each team. The squad will be qualified to the next round depending on their kill count, survival time, rank, strategies, teamwork, etc.

Second Qualifier Round

The second qualifier round or the ‘Online Playoffs’ will takes place from 10 February to 24 February. This will be divided into 2 rounds.

First Round

The first round will be from 10 to 15 February. 2000 squads from the first qualifier will participate in this round. These squads will be divided into 100 groups, each group having 20 squads. All the group matches will be held in Best of 1 style, in the traditional knockout fashion. The top 4 squads from each group will go on to fight in the next round.

Second Round

In the second round of the Online Playoffs, the top 400 squads will be further divided into 20 groups. This round will be from 16 February to 19 February. Again, the 20 groups will play in Best of 1 style, in the traditional knockout fashion. Like the first round, the top 4 squads from each group will move on to the third round.

Third Round

In Round 3, from 21 February to 24 February, the top 80 teams will compete to go into the Grand Finale. These teams will be divided into 4 groups, each of 20 squads. They will compete in Best of 3 point based knockout matches. Only the top 5 squads from each group will go up in the Grand Finale.

Grand Finale of PUBG Mobile India Series 2019

The top 20 teams that survive the Online Playoffs will be in the Grand Finale of this tournament. The finals are supposed to take place sometime in the month of March. We will update the post as soon as the exact dates are announced. Stay tuned for updates!

Point System for the Matches

Each kill rewards 20 points. Note that the following images are only valid for Best of 3 and Best of 5 matches.
