Due to political pressure in India, a gameplay restriction of 6 hours has been imposed. Th PUBG restriction will apply to all the players from India regardless of their age. It will not affect any player outside of India. However, it may take some time for this to apply to all Indian players and take full effect.
meant merely for entertainment and should be enjoyed in a healthy and responsible manner.
They further said,
We were thus surprised to learn that local authorities in a few cities have decided to impose a ban on playing our game. We are working to understand the legal basis of such bans, and hope we can have a constructive dialogue with relevant authorities to explain our objectives and that they withdraw the prohibition.
Even the Chinese Government recently banned the game for people under the age of 13.
The developers of PUBG Mobile, Tencent had to cave in to the pressure. According to many players, they have experienced a gameplay restriction of 6 hours. As of yet, only the Indian players report this restriction, so the rest of the world is probably unaffected.
According to some players, the ones under the age of 18 first got a warning when they had played for 2 hours, then another after playing for 4 hours. The warning stated that they were about to reach their limit. A message box then appears on the screen after 6 hours of game time labelled ‘Health Reminder’. The message in that stated that they will have to come back after 24 hour to play the game. However, the warning may appear to all Indian players regardless of their age.
As of yet, PUBG Mobile hasn’t made an official statement on this restriction. We will post an update as soon as they make one and explain the terms of it.
