Early Access Memories will bring the old PUBG loot, rules and nostalgia.
PLAYERUNKNOWN’S Battlegrounds today announced a new Event Mode, Early Access Memories. Essentially, the new Event Mode will strip the game down to its pre alpha mode during its days in Early Access. The event mode will have certain rules and loots from PUBG’s days of yore, bringing nostalgia with it.
Early Access Memories is live now, and will tun until August 19, 7pm PST, which translates to August 20, 7:30 am IST.
This week we're throwing back to PUBG's early days. The Early Access Memories Event Mode is now live!
Four-person squads will drop into Erangel where Level 3 helmets will spawn in the world and crates can contain the Tommy Gun and Kar98k.

There will only be a squad mode, with 25 teams of 4 dropping in Erangel. Weather will remain sunny, and Red zones will be enabled. Further care packages will also be enabled and friendly fire will be disabled.
As for the rules during early access, Level 3 helmets, which are now only available through air drops, will spawn in the world during Early Access Memories. Tommy Gun and Kar98k will also be found in care packages. Speaking of care packages, Camo patterned Jackets and Ghillie Suits will also be found in them. Blue zone damage will not be amplified by the distance from the safe zone, and Aquarail will not spawn.
But fret not, since the prehistoric controls won’t be back in Early Access Memories. Current controls will remain. Current Weapon stats and vaulting mechanisms will also remain. Some additional items will also spawn on the “Starting Island.”
