OG tops group A at the end of Day 3 | The Manila Major

So after 3 days of amazing Dota it was OG who topped the Group A with 11 wins and 3 losses at The Manila Major. This 2 times Major Champion team was placed in Group A which was considered the easier group of the tournament but their first day wasn’t that remarkable as they played 2 draws with LGD and EG with LGD taking game 1 even after OG had a 15k net worth advantage but in the end it all worked out for them. Following them is NA squad of former TI Champions team Evil Geniuses. The team which most of the people considered to be weaker one showed everyone that they still are a major contender for the Championship. EG was leading the Group stage until day 2 but had some bad showing at day 3 leading to OG taking the top spot. Trailing EG is the team that has shocked everyone in the recent past of pro Dota scene. Wings Gaming from China stands 3^rd in Group A. This Chinese of squad of relatively new but extremely skilful players are considered major threat by every team that dreams of taking home the Aegis. The fourth and the final seat for upper bracket from group A belongs to the fan favourites Alliance. Former TI champions had a pretty good showing in the Group stages with them defeating their arch nemesis Na’vi on day 1. Alliance also took a breathtaking game 1 from EG and went on to win the series to secure their place in the upper bracket. The teams that are in lower bracket are TNC, LGD, Na’vi and Escape Gaming. Seeing Na’vi and LGD and in the lower bracket was bit of a surprise to everyone who has been following the pro scene. Both the teams were considered to be the stronger ones in the group and now have to play in a BO1. Their troubles don’t end here as they will be facing Liquid and Secret in the lower bracket respectively.  Escape was hit the hardest as they managed only to win 2 games out of 14. TNC did have a moment of brilliance as they managed to get into upper bracket on day 2 but were unable to retain their position on day 3 of The Manila Major.
