MP5 will be coming to CS:GO for the first time. The gun has appeared in every Counter Strike game before.
Counter Strike: Global Offensive welcomed an old friend today. The MP5, which had been a staple of the Counter Strike series, has finally arrived to CS:GO in a new update.

This is the first time that the gun has made an appearance in CS:GO. The Mp5 was available in all the iterations of the series before. It was known to be an affordable and a strong weapon. Though it did not have the best damage, its affordability, availability on both the teams, low recoil and high rate of fire made it a popular choice for the early game.
The MP5 version in CS:GO is called the MP5-SD, and will feature an integrated silencer. It will serve as an alternative to MP7 and “features higher movement speed at the cost of some damage and accuracy on the move.”
The MP5-SD is based on the real life Heckler and Koch MP5-N.
