Have you ever thought of getting mobile games on Steam? I bet, a few of us have already done it. With Bluestacks inside, the dream of getting mobile games on Steam is going to be true!
For people with low-end mobile phones, Bluestacks is massively used for experiencing Android mobile games. Bluestacks is also one of the most used Android emulator software for Windows PC. With the upcoming ‘BlueStacks inside’, the mobile games will be featured directly on Steam as confirmed by the BlueStacks developers today.
So what is BlueStacks Inside?
BlueStacks Inside is ‘one-click SDK’ for the game developers to publish their mobile games on the Steam store. And the good news is, this process does not require any porting work. So, this will surely encourage the budget conscious game developers to publish their mobile games on PC. The developers using BlueStacks Inside will also get the normal Steam features like Payment via Steam wallet, Company hub, Promotions, Curators, etc.
KOG, Funplus, and Fabled Game Studio are going to be the initial developers who are willing to publish their games via Bluestacks Inside. And there are plenty more to come on the way. The company CEO Rosen Sharma stated that,
We eliminate the need for separate development teams just to bring mobile games to a PC audience. When published with BlueStacks, a player downloading the game through Steam gets the full game experience. It isn’t BlueStacks. It isn’t Steam. It’s a PC game
However, talking about the financial benefits of BlueStacks, it will take a percentage of the in-game purchases. Also, BlueStacks is going to charge a minimal integration fee.
Although it is a piece of great news for the developers as well as the mobile gaming community, only time will tell how things will go once BlueStacks Inside starts functioning.
