The last company that we had expected to mark it’s interest in the world of esports is KFC. Despite this, the food king announce is an official Twitter handle under the name, KFC Gaming, situated in the UK, and is expected to be preparing for the release of Call of Duty: Black Ops 4.
The official KFC Gaming handle tweeted “Player One has entered the game. KFC x Gaming, a match made in heaven. Just a taste of what’s to come, something BIG is coming…”.
This tweet by KFC gaming was baffling yet clear of their move. The official KFC Gaming handle makes it very clear through it’s Twitter feed that “Your chicken wing man for all those Victory Royales, it’s going to be Finger Lickin’ Good!”
Blackout, the new Battle Royale mode to be featured in Call of Duty: Black Ops 4, releasing very soon, making it the perfect time for KFC gaming to make it’s way into the world of esports, particularly with how popular Fortnite has been. The company is looking forward to be “chicken wing man for all those Victory Royales”, and to prove this point, their tweet was, “Is it okay if we take some time off around Oct 12th for reasons totally unrelated to” so one can pretty safely say that there will be an interest in Fortnite, Call of Duty and PUBG Battle Royale games by KFC Gaming team.
But the question is why did KFC choose to enter gaming and esports? To this we can quote KFC, “Well, gamers eat fast food is the idea. We’re so wrapped up in playing we need to grab and go is the perception. It’s not like Perdue is coming up here with raw gaming chicken breasts.”
Let’s hope KFC Gaming is able to be keep our expectations high and we would all gladly welcome this new and exciting team.
