Fortnite Friday is a tournament series hosted every Friday by Keemstar, who is famous for his YouTube channel ‘DramaAlert’. Most of the famous streamers and players participate in this event where 4 players are put into a squad match and are divided into 2 duos. The duo which gets the most kills proceeds to the next round. The concept of this tournament is unique compared to other tournaments because it revolves around the kill count of players rather than watching them try to survive till the end to get the victory. It was clear that the viewers were very entertained by this tournament as all the streamers would get a considerably higher view count than normal, while the tournament was live.
Keemstar was displeased when Epic announced that they are going to be hosting the Summer Skirmish tournaments on Fridays and Saturdays for the coming weeks, because it would clash with his Fortnite Friday tournament series.
As Keemstar ran out of options, he decided to move his tournament from Fridays to Sundays, starting July 29th.
However, Epic didn’t seem to care about it, as they decided to not wait and scheduled their event for today, 20th July 2018. As expected, Keemstar got really upset about it and made a twitter post expressing his disappointment. He decided to stand off against Epic and said that he will not be rescheduling his event as he felt confident that many of the streamers/pros would choose his event over Epic’s because he had already talked to them about it.

This didn’t last long and Keem had to cancel his tournament as Epic invited many of the participants from Fortnite Friday to their tournament and they agreed to it.
They capped FF at $20k & are doing events for $500k. I’m not holding the players back.
