Age of Empires is one of the oldest real-time strategy video games we’ve come across. The first installment in the series came out in October 1997 and will celebrate it’s 22nd anniversary very soon. The franchise takes us through multiple time periods in history across various continents, as we participate in key historic events. The Age of Empires franchise have always been met with positive reception from its player base and sold millions of copies.

Even though the game has always been widely popular, it’s not too often that you see tournaments on the game, especially in India. However, that is going to change very soon as there is a brand new community in the scene. 2017 saw the formation of AOE India, a community that is focused on bringing all Age of Empires players in India together and conduct events related to the game. The community, which started out with 8 founding members, now has nearly 250 players, all of who share their passion for Age of Empires.
AOE India, in collaboration with Clan Gaming, will be hosting it’s first ever Age of Empires LAN tournament – AOE India LAN Showdown. The event will take place on 9th and 10th of November this year, at Clan Gaming Cafe, Bengaluru, India. The event will start at 2 PM and finish up at 8 PM IST.
