HoTs vs Mobile Legends: In this article, we will be comparing two very popular MOBA games in recent times. However, keep in mind that HoTs is a PC game, and Mobile Legends is a mobile game. But is one game better than the other at core gameplay? Let’s find out.
Heroes of the Storm
Heroes of the Storm is simply put, Blizzard’s take on Dota and the MOBA genre. After Valve took in IceFrog and created HoTs, it is believed that Blizzard noticed their success and wanted to make their own MOBA.
The game features heroes from Blizzard’s franchises including Warcraft, Diablo, StarCraft, The Lost Vikings, and Overwatch. Characters like Skeleton King which Valve had to replace due to copyright issues, can be found as playable characters in Heroes of the Storm.
Gameplay-wise, Heroes of the Storm adds a lot of fresh new elements into the MOBA genre which was later applied into other MOBA games. However, since HotS joined the MOBA games race very late, it was heavily overwhelmed by the other giant MOBAs in the scene like Dota, LoL and Smite.
Mobile Legends is a unique MOBA game. First off, its available to play only on mobile devices. Moreover, it is also one of the first few MOBA games to include a Battle Royale mode in it.
The game is extremely popular in the South East Asian region and will be a medal event at the 2019 Southeast Asian Games.
The game was released in 2016 by Moonton. Moonton is a game developer who’s only title is Mobile Legends as of now.
HoTs vs Mobile Legends: As you must have guessed, these games are very similar to each other. However, HoTs is a PC game, while Mobile Legends is a mobile game.
Hence, gameplay-wise these two titles are quite a bit different, as they have their own flavor. It’s quite clear that both these games are quite good and entertaining, so the only question is: Do you prefer playing on your computer or your mobile.
If you prefer playing on PC, go for HoTs. If you are a mobile gamer, go for Mobile Legends. I personally prefer HoTs because I’m a PC gamer.
