All of us have grown playing either one or the other Diablo titles. Be it the extremely hardcore Diablo and Diablo II or the extremely casual Diablo III, you know you love beating and mauling enemies with flashy combos and skills. If you’re looking for more of that same exciting gameplay, you should definitely give a try to Grim Dawn instead of waiting for Diablo Immortal to come out on mobile.
Watch the trailer here.
Grim Dawn is an ARPG from Crate Entertainment. Announced back in 2009, Crate Entertainment acquired the rights to use the Titan Quest engine to craft their game. Development started in 2010 and the game took 6 years to come out. Finally releasing back in 2016, the game went on to become the best seller on Steam.
Grim Dawn had seen the last activity from the developers when they launched the Ashes of Malmouth DLC back in 2017. But players are going to be treated to a new expansion this March 27th, titled Forgotten Gods. This expansion will introduce players into a new area, give them new gear and new masteries and a lot more.
“Forgotten Gods” will let players dive into the boundaries of the Erulian empire where the scorching deserts and lush oasis meet secrets of a long-dead era. The players will have to take the fight to a forgotten god alongside the Witch God cults. The expansion will introduce players to four new factions and completely new storylines.
Forgotten Gods will feature sprawling dungeons and vast open areas with different biomes and different enemies. Players will also be introduced to a new mastery called “The Oathkeeper”. From the promotional trailer, it seems like it will be a Sword and Shield character but players are always allowed to make their destiny.
Alongside a new mastery, Forgotten Gods will allow players to invest into nine new constellations. Constellations allow players to truly invest in a character progression, unlocking passive and active effects along the way. New skills will also be unlocked and one of those will allow players to teleport a short distance. Forgotten Gods has over 40 unique bosses, tons of new epic and legendary gear to collect and dozens of new monster items to hoard.
And that’s not all. Forgotten Gods is the first expansion to release a new game mode. Titled Shattered Realm, this game mode will allow players to dive into an endless game of dungeon crawling with unique dangers to confront and unique gear to collect.
The expansion pack comes out on March 27, 2019, and it will cost 15.99$ at launch. No regional pricing has been announced for the Indian market. The expansion pack’s page is live on Steam right now.
