Esports Mogul just announced their partnership with Critical X, marking Mogul’s first partnership in the Indian market. Critical X is a tournament organizer in India which connects over 5 million gamers with their events. They also create and build communities for competitive games.
Esports Mogul Limited is an Esports media and software business, which owns and operates the mogul.gg tournament platform – ‘the world’s most advanced pure-play online esports tournament and matchmaking platform’ with automation for major Esports titles.
Previously, Mogul and Critical X collaborated to host free tournaments mogul.gg for games like PUBG Mobile, Dota Auto Chess and Tekken 7, always hitting and sometimes even crossing the maximum participant capacity.
Through their newly announced partnership, Critical X will be launching a branded hub with a paid monthly subscription system, mainly targeting the mobile gaming audience in India. According to a blog from economic times, India is the second largest mobile market in the World, with a baffling 400 million smartphone users. By 2020, the Indian mobile gaming market is estimated to be worth $2.4 Billion.
Critical X Hub on mogul.gg will go live in this month, hosting a jaw-dropping 200 tournaments every month for titles like Garena Free Fire and PUBG Mobile. Garena Free Fire and PUBG Mobile have completely taken over the mobile gaming market right now, with over 100+ million downloads each on the Play Store, with over 25 million reviews. Both games are triumphantly sitting on a rating of 4.4. Moreover, Free Fire has surpassed $1 billion in terms of lifetime revenue.
Mogul has also successfully integrated with local payment gateway, PayTM, to accept payments in India’s local currency. This is great for the Indian gaming crowd, as PayTM is one of the most used payment services in India. This allows practically any gamer to easily subscribe to the Critical X Hub.
Mogul’s CMO Mark Warburton, commented: “This partnership with Critical X is an exciting time for Mogul, as not only can we expand Critical X’s offering to their community, but it signifies two key milestones for the Company – entering the massive Indian market and integrating with a local payment gateway, PayTM, to accept payments in India’s local currency.
“We are excited to work alongside the Critical X team to develop their subscription and tournament series to engage and expand their large fan base as well as attracting more mobile gamers in the region to Mogul.”
Critical X’s director, Abhishek Joshi added: “After building our large fan base, partnering with Mogul will allow us to offer our gamers tournaments and a subscription feature like never before. I’m eager to get closer to our community, providing an entirely new way for them to engage with our brand, while monetizing our offer.”
Congrats to both Mogul and Critical X on their partnership. It will be exciting to see all the competition that’s going to develop through all the tournaments that will be hosted. This is amazing news for all PUBG Mobile and Free Fire players in the community.
