Escape Gaming grabs the second spot for Wildcard teams as they defeat their Pinoy enemies Execration in the lower bracket finals of the Wildcards. Starting their day with Complexity Gaming as rivals, Escape won the series 2-1. Starting the series with a loss the EU squad soon gained their moral back. In game 2 they were able to shut down Sven making sure he doesn’t gets out of hand. Also some great plays from KheZzu’s Nyx Assassin made sure that there was no way for the American Squad to comeback into the game. In game 3 both the teams were pretty equal until the 20 min mark but Escape soon proved to be superior when they got a 4 for 0 trade near the 23 minute mark. After the Escape kept their advantage up and also pushed Complexity into a desperate Rosh attempt which failed leading to a teamwipe for Complexity. After that Escape were pretty much in the driver seat and ended the game in 39 minutes dropping Complexity into the lower bracket.
After this they faced Ehome where they lost 2-0 dropping to lower bracket to face SEA team Execration. Here the European squad didn’t had to break a sweat as they won both the games. Although game 1 didn’t started out well for them they managed to take advantage over the Pinoy squad with their great initiations and teamwork with only the Mirana of Nando having any breathing room at all. Game 2 was shutdown by Escape as they won the game in just 18 minutes with a score of 9-0.
Escape’s journey thus far has been great and we hope that the team performs well during the rest of the tournament.
Special mention to Execration’s Abed who went 18-0 on his Meepo against Complexity which led to people drawing parallels to other great Meepo players like w33haa and N0tail.
