Dota 2 vs Mobile Legends: In this article, we will be comparing two very popular MOBA games in recent times. However, keep in mind that Dota 2 is a PC game, and Mobile Legends is a mobile game. But is one game better than the other at core gameplay? Let’s find out.
Dota is known for bringing popularity to the MOBA genre. It was the first game that got global attention for being a very competitive online game at the time of its inception.
After Valve took in IceFrog and created Dota 2, the popularity of ‘Dota’ as a concept drastically increased. Valve hosted a million-dollar tournament titled “The International” which brought in the best teams from around the world to compete for against each other in a LAN. This was the biggest tournament at the time, and brought in a lot of attention to the game
About the gameplay however, Dota is a very competitive and punishing game. Specially for the new-comers. It is a very complex game and has a very steep learning curve. However, the game is very rewarding after you play for a certain amount of time, and get to understand the game.
Mobile Legends is a unique MOBA game. First off, its available to play only on mobile devices. Moreover, it is also one of the first few MOBA games to include a Battle Royale mode in it.
The game is extremely popular in the South East Asian region and will be a medal event at the 2019 Southeast Asian Games.
The game was released in 2016 by Moonton. Moonton is a game developer who’s only title is Mobile Legends as of now.
Dota 2 vs Mobile Legends: As you must have guessed, these games are very similar to each other. However, Dota 2 is a PC game, while Mobile Legends is a mobile game.
Hence, gameplay-wise these two titles are quite a bit different, as they have their own flavor. It’s quite clear that both these games are quite good and entertaining, so the only question is: Do you prefer playing on your computer or your mobile.
If you prefer playing on PC, go for Dota 2. If you are a mobile gamer, go for Mobile Legends. I personally prefer Dota 2 because I’m a PC gamer.
