During Anime Expo 2019 at the “Future of Digimon series” panel, Bandai Namco announced that a Complete Edition of Digimon Story: Cyber Sleuth would be coming to Nintendo Switch and PC.
The complete edition will include not one but two games in one package — Digimon Story: Cyber Sleuth and Cyber Sleuth – Hacker’s Memory. According to the trailer, the game will be launching on PC and Nintendo Switch on October 18, 2019.
You can watch the trailer below.
About the Digimon Story games:
Digimon Story: Cyber Sleuth and Cyber Sleuth – Hacker’s Memory, both are great turn-based JRPGs and were previously only available on the PlayStation 4 and PlayStation Vita. Cyber Sleuth tells the story of a group of teens who are pulled into a reality-bending plot involving hackers, detectives, and of course, Digimon companions to do battle against evil forces. Cyber Sleuth focused on a new incarnation of the Digimon universe.
Digimon Story: Cyber Sleuth Complete Edition isn’t just a simple port either. Its a brand new entry reworking the two games together. The Complete Edition will keep the original games’ turn-based battle system and will include over 300 Digimons. Players will also be able to keep their levels and team through both games. Bandai Namco did not announce any additional content for fans outside of these two main games.
During the panel, Bandai Namco also confirmed that a new game in the franchise is in development. There aren’t many details about it just yet, but we do know that it’s not going to be a sequel to Cyber Sleuth and will take place in both the real and digital worlds. We’ll have to be patient for more information on this title.
