After their failed attempt to qualify for the Bucharest Minor and The Chongqing Major, everyone expected that Tigers will be changing their roster for the upcoming tournaments. However, no one would have expected that they would bring in Dendi into the team, as they already have a veteran Solo Mid legend in Mushi. In a surprising turn of events, Tigers have announced that Dendi will be joining the team as their Solo Mid. Apparently, Dendi and Mushi will be juggling between the Solo Mid/Carry, depending on the drafts. On their Liquipedia page, Dendi is listed as their position 2 and Mushi is listed as their position 1 as of now.
Dendi has been playing as a stand-in for many CIS teams after he left Na’Vi, and fans have been waiting for him to join a team as a full-time player. As of now, Tigers is looking very strong with their star-studded line-up.
Dendi and Mushi’s popularity in the Dota 2 scene is enough by itself to bring in a lot of fans’ support to whichever team they join. Now that they have both joined the same team, Tigers is likely to have an incredible number of supporters.
Generally, when there are so many star-studded players in one team, they end up failing miserably (Like Secret’s very first roster and Team DK). Hopefully Tigers will not share the same fate, and will do well.
The team’s stability will ultimately depend on their performance in the upcoming tournaments. I highly doubt the team will stick together if they do not qualify for the next Major/Minor. The DreamLeague qualifiers are right around the corner and that will be a very good factor to determine the team’s stability. I wish Dendi and Tigers the best of luck for the qualifiers and all their future endeavors.
