New Player Models for the Counter-Terrorist Team
Valve released the new Dust II map in a CSGO Update almost a year ago, and that update also featured new player models for the Terrorist side. With this update, we have new player models for the Counter-Terrorist team as well.
The new player models are for the FBI group. They’re much more detailed with almost 20 to 23 thousand polygons in every player model, compared to only 13 to 16 thousand polygons used in the older player-models.
MP5-SD now available to use in Competitive
The MP5-SD is a silenced SMG and one of the most iconic weapons in Counter-Strike. The weapon was added back in August 2018 and made available in Deathmatch & Casual game-modes. With this CSGO update, the weapon will now be available to use by both teams in competitive matchmaking.
The MP5-SD is considered to be one of the strongest force-buy or anti-eco weapons to use in the game. It has a relatively affordable $1500 price tag, low recoil, high rate of fire, great accurate range, and the suppressor makes it great for some stealthy lurking. Compared to the MP7, the MP5-SD allows for a higher movement speed when equipped due to its lighter weight, but has lower accuracy & damage.
Other Changes
Here are a few other changes in this new CSGO Update.
You can now jump up your teammate’s heads, for boosts or even run-boosts. This was previously only possible in the Competitive mode. So, collision for the player heads is now enabled, which will drastically change the gameplay of the Casual, Demolition and Flying Scoutsman game-modes.
Also, the skins from the 2018 Inferno & Nuke collection will now be dropped as a part of rank-up drops. Lastly, we have updates to the Train, Nuke and Office maps, along with minor bug fixes.
