Call of Duty fans have been waiting for a long time for this news and it has come. The trailer for Call of Duty Modern Warfare is finally here, and it brought the release date along with it.
The game is being developed by Infinity Ward. Their previous game in the Call of Duty series was Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare which was the thirteenth primary installment in the series.
Call of Duty Modern Warfare is set to be an intense game with a lot of emotional weight and focus on realism. Be ready for a very gritty game as the developers are known for including powerful and realistic concepts into their games. The game is inspired by the “No Russian” Level in Modern Warfare 2.
It will have a single-player mode unlike BO4, and the scenes that were shown in the trailer are from the campaigns. The game will have 2 different campaign storylines. In the first campaign, you will be playing as a Tier 1 operator, a special forces soldier, and in the second campaign, you’ll be playing as a rebel fighter in the Middle East.
Captain John Price will be making a return in this game but the game isn’t going to be a continuation of Modern Warfare 3. It will have a new and original story.
The game will of course have a multiplayer mode, but this time we’re getting a co-op mode as well, which will have shared weapon progression. We haven’t seen anything like this in games before, so I am excited to see how this turns out.
Its incredible that we live in a world where cross-play support is becoming a necessity for the developers to include into their games. Call of Duty Modern Warfare will provide cross-play support for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC.
All that’s left to do is wait for 5 months, and let’s be real, none of us are going to get off our PCs/Consoles after that.
